On Thursday, August 21, 2025, Dahana, in collaboration with SMKN (State Vocational School) Cibogo, celebrated the first harvest of loofah at the Dahana Nursery Edupark in Subang, West Java. This event is part of Dahana’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) program, which focuses on education and sustainable food security.
The harvest time was attended by PT Dahana’s management team, including Corporate Secretary Erwin Cipta Mulyana, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications & SER Cipta Ismaya Kusumah, and SER Manager Neni Sumarni. Teachers and students from SMKN Cibogo, who participated in the planting and maintenance processes, were also present.
In his remarks, Mr Mulyana expressed his appreciation for the collaboration, viewing this initiative as a significant demonstration of the industry’s commitment to improving vocational education, particularly in agribusiness.
“Dahana is dedicated to engaging with the community. One way we achieve this is by providing students at SMKN Cibogo with opportunities to learn and innovate in the agricultural sector through the Edupark Nursery. We hope this facility enhances students’ agricultural education,” Mr Mulyana stated.
The Dahana Edupark Nursery is designed as a learning environment that serves not only as an urban agro-tourism destination but also as a practical platform for students. In addition to agriculture, the facility supports studies in animal husbandry and fisheries at SMKN Cibogo.
Neni Sumarni, Dahana’s Social and Environment Responsibility Manager, highlighted that the success of this first harvest marks an important milestone for the younger generation of Subang.
“The Edupark program aligns with Dahana’s commitment to implementing the social and environment responsibility program. We hope this harvest will inspire students to continue innovating in agriculture while strengthening local food security,” Ms Sumarni commented.
This inaugural harvest of loofah is set to initiate various agricultural innovations from SMKN Cibogo’s students and reinforce PT Dahana’s role in promoting sustainable development in the region.
